“Kim created such a unique, comprehensive training program and I truly feel blessed to have studied under her. Based on conversations I’ve had with yoga teachers who have completed their YTT elsewhere, I know that Kim’s YTT 200hr is something very unique and special. My fire to serve others through the voice of yoga is confident and strong thanks to all I’ve learned with Kim.”

YTT Collective stands out from traditional programs, which are generally run by one studio. We collaborate with multiple yoga studios across North Atlanta, combining expertise to offer a unified 200-hour certified Yoga Teacher Training program. This unique approach empowers aspiring instructors to delve deep into yoga and learn effective teaching methods in a supportive community. Our experienced Lead Teacher Trainer, Kim Saunders, brings her background as a Licensed Professional Counselor to the program. Our training provides a nurturing environment for yoga and personal growth. Join us for transformative growth!
YTT Collective is accredited through Yoga Alliance. Registered Yoga Teacher (RYT) is a distinction given to yoga teachers whose training and teaching experience meet Yoga Alliance requirements. Upon completion of our program, you will have the necessary requirements to register with Yoga Alliance as an RYT. Click here to view our profile on the Yoga Alliance website.
To start teaching yoga, 200 hours of training is the basic requirement. While it's not legally necessary to have RYT 200 certification, many yoga studios require instructors to be certified through Yoga Alliance, having completed training at a Yoga Alliance-certified school. Yoga Alliance certification involves meeting certain standards for graduation, making Yoga Alliance certified teachers preferred by most studios. At YTT Collective, we currently only offer a 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training program.
A 200-hour certification allows you to teach yoga classes. The YTT Collective trains students on multiple yoga styles, including vinyasa yoga, yin yoga, power yoga, and restorative yoga. 200-hour certified teachers are also able to offer retreats, events, private lessons, workshops, online classes, and more. The sky is the limit!
Absolutely! Many people feel this way and want to go through the training to deepen their personal yoga practice. Everyone is welcome, no matter what they plan to do with the information we provide.
Our 200 hour program requires 180 hours of training in the classroom and 20 hours outside of the classroom. You'll likely find that our structure is agreeable to your lifestyle: We meet on Friday evenings and weekends for around 10 weeks. The content covered each session varies: It could be focused on yoga poses, or a guest teacher may come and teach on their expertise (like power yoga, sequencing, etc.). Trainings also have required readings to do outside of class, but you'll find that they are something you'll look forward to!
YTT Collective offers our program twice a year: Once in the spring, beginning in February, and once in the fall, beginning in September. Spring programs graduate around early May, while fall programs graduate around the end of the year.
